Which Song Are You

Jill wants everyone to tell what songs most accurately describe them.

Name a song whose lyrics completely define you as a whole, your life and what it is, was or will be. One that conveys the essence of you.

Lots of interesting answers.

As always, mine are Watching The Wheels and The French Inhaler

Mostly Wheels, although my face does often look like something deathl brought in his suitcase.

"Ripple" by the Grateful Dead, of course.

"Ripple in still water,
When there is no pebble tossed,
Nor wind to blow.

Reach out your hand if your cup be empty,
If your cup is full may it be again,
Let it be known there is a fountain,
That was not made by the hands of men.

There is a road, no simple highway,
Between the dawn and the dark of night,
And if you go no one may follow,
That path is for your steps alone.

Ripple in still water,
When there is no pebble tossed,
Nor wind to blow.

But if you fall you fall alone,
If you should stand then who's to guide you?
If I knew the way I would take you home.

La dee da da da, La da da da da, Da da da, Da da, Da da da da da
La da da da, La da da, Da da, La da da da, La da, Da da."

Kath... No way! Watching The Wheels --by John Lennon? That's MY song! Goodness, if we keep finding out how much alike we are, we're going to have to stop fighting about our differences. ;)

BTW...It was GREAT meeting you this evening. I look forward to getting together with you again, soon.

It was great to meet you too.

And of course, I blogged about it.

Apparently I missed out on meeting both of you because I was too busy going to get (yet another) beer. Bummer.

Good to hear you at least dug that question of the day. I think I said it before...but WTW is definitely in my top three.

Jill...
You obviously have good taste!
Sorry I missed you at the gathering, too. I was in the (small) group of liberals, though we dragged Blake over to stand with us. Katherine also graced us with her presence.
Looks of 80s music playing in the blackground, though I didn't hear any Toto or Human League. I was waiting to "duet" with Mr. Roboto if "Don't You Want Me" came on.

I will say that when I walked in, She Bop was playing. That about as 80's as you can get.
