The Rolling Stones are a rock legend.  Also claiming the title would be Aerosmith, Ozzie, Led Zeppelin, Jimi Hendrix, Springsteen, and of course, perhaps the ultimate legends of rock (albeit a lighter genre of rock) the Beetles.
